okay for my English class we are doing a mock trail on whether Prometheus was wrong in giving us fire ( story in greek mythology doesnt really matter) but anywho i am a witness and my persona is a u.s soldier and i am on the prosecution side so......
how would my persona suppose to be agianst fire
i was thinking i could say that if we didnt have fire then we also wouldnt have military weapons and lots of people wouldnt be killled because of those weapons
but............
is that true???
and how is fire actually used to make military weapons

So the premise here is that the gods of Greek mythology are real AND that humans never had and could never have independently obtained mastery of fire without Prometheus's intervention? Fascinating.

My personal view is that right or wrong is not determined by the nearly unforeseeable future consequences of an action, but by whether the individual was acting within his own moral and legal authority in taking the action in question.

The question is, did Prometheus have any right to give humans the gift of fire? What humans chose to do with it at some much later date is irrelevant.

That is definitely a true statement. In early times fire was used to produce the metals that were used in creating weapons. Furthermore, missiles and bullets are all propelled by fire. Tanks, Planes and cars, all vehicular weapons of war, all have engines that are powered by some type of combustion reaction. therefore, without fire there would not be weapons of war.

OK Fire is used to melt the iron ore and forge it into steel to make the guns itself and the same is used for the brass casing for the bullets.However with out fire We would have no electricity,no heat, fire built the computer you are working on.Fire is a gift and a demon.Kasey

fire is used to make all metal weapons and all metal objects for that matter....thay use fire to soften the metal and forge it
