Or maybe a on-line penpal? just someone the same age to tell them something about where we are going. I have two that are in elementary school, one in middle school, and one in high school. thanks for the help.

Some of the Family Readiness centers have programs set up, or you can try the youth center. It really varies from base to base what they have.
Also, if you are AF, try going onto AF crossroads spouses forum. You can ask if there is anyone at that with kids of the same age and would they be willing to get in touch with yours. I have volunteered my girls to do that before. My oldest spent the spring helping out 2 other girls who got here this summer from the states. Definately a BIG help for the girls, mine included!!

First, check with your spouses sponser. Since sponsers are supposed to be approximately the same rank, it is not unusual for them to have kids of the same general age. He/she may be able to "introduce" you to your kids. If that doesn't work, I would go to the website for the schools your kids should be attending, as well as the family support center for the base you are moving to. Drop them emails explaining what you are looking for. They should be happy to help. Also, if the school PTO/PTA has a site, you may want to write to them. No one gets things done quicker than another military mom!

enroll them at the local german "schule" & "ggymnasium" when you get there, they will learn a lot more about Germany!
Don't get in a rut by staying in "little America"!

your military sponsor should have already set that up....if not call your transition office and they should be able to help you
