Three years is nothing. There are people that are 14 years apart that are dating. Of course they're a lot older than 16, but you get my point. My mom started dating my dad when she was 15, and he was 20.

The difference between 16 and 19 is quite vast. Despite the fact that he seems like a very nice young man, there is such a difference that it can be a problem.
You're better off waiting until your both out of college before getting serious with each other - even on a purely platonic level (no sex).
For right now - I'd stick to boys 16/17 even though they're pretty childish compared to an older boy.
On the other hand, if this young man is respectful of your beliefs, your family --- and your age - you could invite him to dinner and maybe family/church outings where there will be lots of other people (and chaperons - to keep the parents happy).
The good news is that the difference between 26 and 29 is practically nil.
go figure.

at the same time as 3 years isn't too a lot of a huge difference often, i imagine 16-13 is a wide enormous difference. Why is a 16 y/o boy getting fascinated in a 13 y/o female? What does he see in her? A 16 y/o boy could oftentimes favor to have not something to do with someone 13 years old, and could take care of human beings his age. imagine, your sister remains at somewhat female degree, at the same time as this guy is going by using (or about to flow by using) hormone rage fueled puberty.

Age difference really doesn't matter as long as you are of a respectable age (18), sometimes at that age you really don't know about the ways of relationships. You might not like it, but get some advice from a parent.

When a person is 45 and go out with a 25 year old? Does it seem weird?
Strange thing is, its not really.
Maybe just because they are older and should have reached maturity.
But no its not wrong or anything. I know who went out with a 19 when they were 15, now they are getting onto bigger things.

Don't listen to anyone that tells you you're wrong for going out with him. It is okay to explore out of your age bracket and really there isn't that big of a difference. As long as he has not used you for sex and you two keep it casual..I believe you two have a shot. My friend is 17 and going out with a 20 year old..no big deal.
Just enjoy the relationship and the things you value with him..and don't worry about it.

If he seems nice and caring towards you and when you are ready to do it, then the age difference shouldnt matter. Just make sure you dont do anything that you dont want to do .

Since your 16, no there is nothing wrong with that. I wouldnt push any larger age gap tho
If you were 15 however, it would have been difficult.
