Ok, basically I don't see the logic behind a creator/omnipotent being. God created us and gave us free will, with which you can either choose to do good by doing what he says, or do evil and get punished for all eternity. Now as religion teaches, God created the world and humans, nothing else outside of this. He gave us rules by which we are to behave. So... God created us, the only thing that exists other than him, only to worship him and follow his commands, or get punished. What kind of megalomanic must your God be? Don't you think that it should be either all or none; mindless humans who sacrifice goats and pay their tithes, or completely free human beings, with no strings attached? What is the justification for having rules by which to live by? Are we nothing more than lab rats; press the button and you get a piece of cheese? For those of you who will say that this is a test, doesn't that, in a way, remove all significance from what we know as life?

What is the reason for having rules by which to live by? To protect us? If the rules are set for us to be protected from each other, why does God still allow non-moral evil (natural disasters, disease, and so on)?

the biggest problem here is that your right, thats how most religions do teach it, just consider that, most religions are wrong and teach people things that make them turn away from religion as a whole, so don't blame religion as a thing, blame the person who taught you these things, they taught you doctrines and rules and excuses and this is exactly what happens when they do that, it doesn't make sense and so its right for people like you to question it.

The problem I have with monotheism is that it's based on there only being one deity. When I see something organic that is beautiful, it involves some measure and/or from of femininity and masculinity. Light and sound-different, multiple elements. Humans, who are very complex creatures, involve four elements and masculine and feminine attributes. Rule by one is called a dictatorship and, as we've seen throughout history, doesn't work.
If there were a perfect being that just existed outside of human capacity to comprehend (no beginning/no end), there would be no LOGICAL reason to create anything. Since this deity was perfect, it would also be theoretically impossible to create evil. If Eve didn't know the difference between good and evil (right & wrong), she wouldn't have been able to judge the threat of death as...a threat (something negative) and she wouldn't have known it was 'evil' (wrong) to do as a talking snake told her
Also, a deity who was omniscient would have forseen all this and never would have created anything-there never would be Satan, the Flood, etc, etc...
The more I read, the more illogical it is.

The idea that there is no God is mathematically impossible. Basic probability tells you that the odds of a blob of primordial ooze morphing into a man, regardless of how much time has passed, are so remote that mathematicians regard it as impossible. Emile Borel and Fred Hoyle are just two mathematicians who reject evolution on statistical grounds. The idea is a "Statistcal Immposibility". For example, it is theoretically possible that you could blow up a junk yard and all the flying pieces would land and form themselves into a Cadillac - that is possible. But the odds against it are so high that it constitutes a "Statistcal Immposibility". Same goes for evolution. That only leaves one possibility: God. There's your logic, mathematically arrived at.
