I suggest a place not far from their districts. I mean if both are living in Dokki for example, no need they go and meet in Nasr city.
As I said before to recognize each other is not a problem. I have met many people and recognized them easily. They were not supposed to be always friends, but at least we knew some information about each other before we meet for any reason.
For people who work in tourism field, it's easy to meet in the Egyptian museum or many places downtown. I recommend a cafe downtown if it's near for both, but it shouldn't be a place that one person has to stand in the somewhere and wait for the other to see or wait to see the other.
Any way think about a gathering for a group that may be easy to find and easy to meet all friends at the same time. It's better in this case to have everything planed. It means where to go, till which time, method of transportation and all persons who will meet should know the names of who will be there. I mean if there will be a brother, husband, sister, wife or kids, it should be known in advance otherwise it's not always a nice surprise.

Well, I already met hope 7abeebit alby and ranoush ilmagnoona! I started with messages then phone calls, then we finally decided to meet. With hope, it was difficult for her at the time to meet in a public place, so I visited her in her home. Some may think that is a risk or a crazy decision, but for some reason I trusted my heart and my instincts and went. If you know hope closely you will know what I mean. As for rana, she came to my place first then we went to city stars for a while. It was really fun and I am looking forward to seeing nada and noha too soon ISA ... But I definitely won't take nada's suggestion! She wanted us to have iftar on a folooka! looooooooool She apparently has no idea that some of us have homes and hubbys! hehehe
I think in general, it is best to meet someone only after you have spoken to them on the phone a bit to know them better, and to meet in a public place.

Make a date. Say a eating place in a city the place neither of you're nicely-known. Make the date for breakfast. and then see the place the day takes you. so some distance as recognizing one yet another, have the reservations made in the two your names and it wont rely who gets there first. be careful, yet do savor!
