I am 5 years older than my husband & We're VERY happy. WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE. My EX, was 2 years older than me..WE WERE NEVER ON THE SAME PAGE! In between leaving my EX & finding my husband, I dated a guy who was 15 years older, he was wonderful! I was only casualy dateing at the time & not ready for anything serious , but looking back I "fit" much better with him than others who I dated that were (much) closer to my own age. So age alone? JUST a number, just be with someone ON THE SAME PAGE & enjoy that. All else is trivial.

I read in "What to Expect Before You're Expecting" that there's about a 25-30% chance for an 18-mid twenties woman to get pregnant every cycle. That drops to 20-25% for early thirties, and 15-20% for 35, and sharply thereafter. It's really not a definite science of course, so those numbers could fluctuate. But yes, 18-22ish is the "ripest" of ages to get pregnant...unfortunately, most women aren't ready by then.

My husband is 8 years older than me. We've been together over 5 years and it's really not an issue. Maybe it would be if you were 17 and him 25, but at the ages of 25 and 33 there really is no difference.
It works for us and personally I think it's a great age difference.

Nowadays it's hard to tell people's ages anyways. 30 is the new 20, and so on. And like someone else said, age is but a number, especially when you're both mature, on the same level and have a great appreciation for each other. I guarantee that if you walk down the street no one will look at you thinking, "wow look how young that girl is with that man." If you're happy and in love, do it!!

I'm 9 years older than my wife. We have been married for 24 years, raised 3 wonderful kids, have 3 grandkids and still have an ideal marriage. We are best friends, have a very active physical relationship and enjoy life together. I find the age difference of no importance at all.

At those ages, that span sounds fine to me. It more depends on whether you are in the same phase of life. 8 years at say 18 and 10 or 16 and 24 would be too much and inappropriate. I think 33 and 25 sounds perfect!

Age has no factor in the way the two of you feel about each other. My future hubby and I have an 12 year gap between us, does it affect our relationship? HELL NO! So, you and your partners age should not concern you, if it works out for the long run it will because of what you feel for each other not your age.
Stay Strong.
Stay Positive.

I think it has to do with that person. You can find alot of inmature guys and girls at that age,and you can find alot of mature guys and girls. You just have to go with your gut feeling. I really don't think age is a big deal these days(unless you are talking about a 17 year old with a 30 year old). If you think it is worth the time do it. Good Luck!!

I'm 45 years old. I've always believed and always will believe if the couple is happy and finds happiness with each other, that is all that matters. Case closed.
