I am planning a really informal wedding, I will have no bridesmaids or groomsmen. My fiancee and me and our daughter will be the only participates plus the minister. I was wondering could anyone give me ideas how to include my family in the wedding. Also give me any ideas about how to do the ceromony. As many ideas as you can think of, THANKS!!!!

Pick a family member that will sign your certificate as witness.
Family members can do readings, light candles, pass out programs, pass out bubbles/birdseed.

Hi and congratulations!

First of all, please talk with your minister. Ask him/her their ideas....but here are mine! Incidentally, I work as a church secretary, so I have typed up many wedding programs!

~ If you are having a unity candle, one nice thing I have seen is....after everyone is seated, but before you walk down the aisle...have the two mothers light the single candles.

~ Have members of your family do a reading or read a poem.

~ I don't know how many "family" members you are talking about, but if you can afford it, why not get simple corsages for any sisters, and boutonnieres for any brothers. They can be real simple. Just a nice gesture. Of course, that would be in addition to the mom's corsages and dad's boutonnieres.

~ Do you have any family that can sing, play the piano? That would add a very nice touch.

~ If there are any deceased family that you want mentioned, some people place a little vase of roses on the altar or a side table and mention it in the program.

Those are my ideas! Good luck!

If you're having a really informal wedding, your family probably wouldn't be involved in teh wedding, other than as guests. And, you will need someone to sign as yoru witnesses. We've decided against having a briday party, and we're having both of our mothers sign as our witnesses--that might be a way for you to involve your families in some way.

There are several ceremonies that you can use to include family. Let me get them gathered up the next couple of days and I'll email you, or you can email me if yours is blocked through YA.

You'll need to have witnesses, but they don't have to be in the ceremony per se.

If you've selected your wedding celebrant, speak with him/her - they may have some of the same materials I do.

I don't know if your wedding is inside or out, but in any event you could always include a family sand blending.
Also, with regard to the witnesses, it all depends on what state you are in. I would check with your clerk's office as to if they are required. Here in Florida, you do not need any witnesses.

Direct all these questions to your minister. Keep it as simple as possible. As the minister about the need for witnesses to the wedding.

i would call the county clerk and ask for info on a marriage license and they usually offer to do a ceremony which they would have a judge there to marry you. U just gotta pay for the license and ceremony. both should cost less than $200. Also depending on what state u live in.

You would need at least 2 witnesses. These 2 could be your Best Man and Maid of Honor.
