if you know the county at least it will be alot easier for you. Public records, newspapers if you have the actual date of death-look in obituaries. it's very possible, just takes a little research.

If you know the name of the cemetery, go to www.findagrave.com. They have listings of nearly every cemetery in the country, and if it is listed it will also tell how many people are shown buried there. You can also leave pictures, "virtual flowers", etc. for the person you are looking for. I recently added my grandparents to the website.
If you'd added the person's name, I could have found it for you.

Usually the Obituary's list place of burial. Check out newspaper archives. If you know what funeral home sometimes you can contact them.
