It depends on the bank the check was drawn on -- if the bank is one thats close to your bank (within the same Fed District) typically will take 1 or 2 days to clear. if the bank is located on the other side of the country and out of your Fed District it could take up to 5 days to clear.

To be sure, I would call your bank and check. They will be able to tell you over the phone.

It varies from bank to bank. Many banks make the first $100 available immediately, provided that your account balance before depositing the check was more than $100, which means that they really haven't made any of the check available to you. It can take as long as ten banking days for the check to clear and all of the funds made available to you without a hold on them.

It depends on where this other bank is located. Some people locally wrote you a check not necessarily means they have a local bank. If it it, it takes at least 3 business days. If not, it depends on the dollar amount that you deposit. If is small amount like few hundreds and is not within the same states you are in, it will takes up to 7 business days. With large amount, the bank might hold the fund for 7 to 15 business days. Large amount like over $5,000. With large amount deposit, it also depends on your standing with the bank too.

Check with your bank. I could tell you what it is at my bank but it doesn't mean it would be the same as yours. If it was local and the bank the check was from is in your area, it would only take a day or two from my bank. If the bank is out of state it would take a week. Like I said check with your bank, they are all different.

alongside with the justifications already suggested via others, on line banking is seen a "sticky product" for the economic company. If the customer starts employing on line banking to immediately pay costs the percentages are that the customer won't close their bills and bypass with a competitor with the aid of fact it turns into too quite some an issue to alter banks. incredibly in the event that they have direct deposits besides.

Check your receipt. It will show you how much money you have available. Large amounts in excess of $5000 have all kinds of holds going on from out of state banks.

This website should clear up your questions for the future. If the entire amount of the check is not available, call your bank to find out when it will be.

3 business days.
You should have gone inside and CASHED the check, then deposited the cash - that gets you around the waiting period. As long as the check doesn't bounce, you're good.
THEN if it was deposited before 2, it would have posted today.
