Why are Ginger people made fun of and treat others differently?

Hi it probably started off ages ago, as its not a popular colour nasty person probably just saw it as fun to take the mick out of a ginger person and then it just cottoned on and other nasty people did it aswell.
There is nothing wrong with ginger hair, and people just need to grow up and let it go. hair is hair

i'm a ginger who's never been made of and never been treated differently.
as kids anything different is picked on. i have strange aqua coloured eyes so i was teased for being a witch

Jealousy!
But I think it's just kids tend to be insensitive and pick out one thing about some one, to label them. If you show sensitivity, then you're more likely to get teasing about it. Kids are working on their identity and trying to figure out what makes them ME and you YOU, and what differences mean or matter. I truly don't think they're/you're treated differently, and while you may be teased about your hair color some one else is teased about their height or shortness or freckles or tow-colored eyes or large family or. . . . . . My daughter is a platinum blonde-natural, and gets constant blonde jokes, which drive her crazy. My feeling is, IT isn't ALL about YOU. Don't take yourself and everything so seriously!

they are teased i think coz their hair is an unusual colour and doesnt always look pretty..thats not the problem i have with gingers..but i think other peeps duu x

I suppose because there aren't that many, they're hair and skin is kind of unusual.
