OK, I watched the video and found it quite comical. First of all, yes, God gave us free will. Why? Because He wants us to love Him because we WANT to, not because we HAVE too. If we only love Him because we HAVE to, then it isn't truly love. Freewill obviously exists or we would all think the same way and believe the same things and there would be no need for these discussions. The point the man on the video is trying to make is that if a world with freewill is better than a world without it, then will heaven have freewill (it would have to in order to be better, according to this man) and if heaven has freewill then it will have sin and then people in heaven can be condemned to hell (that is what he is saying, not me). Now, let me show you where this is false... no one ever said that a world with freewill was better. God created the earth to be perfect, but we (humans) sinned and caused the earth to be imperfect. We brought sin into the world, not God. Now, God did not give us freewill to make the world better, He gave us freewill so that we could choose to serve Him or not. No one can say that they are a slave to God, it is our choice to follow Him. Fast forward to heaven. There is not a need for freewill in heaven because we have already exercised our freewill here on earth...we have made our choice already, there is no need to make it again. We will not have the same desires in heaven that we have here on earth because we will receive new bodies, the ones God originally created for us before we sinned. We will no longer have the desires of the flesh which cause us to sin. We will only desire to do the will of God. Hope that helps and hope the guy in the video studies up on the processes of logic, his arguement would be ripped to shreds by anyone who uses logic! This is for disturbed...how is knowledge of something the same as making it happen? I know that the sun will rise in the East and set in the West, but I don't have anything to do with it actually happening. Just because God knows the choices we will make doesn't mean he forces us to make those choices.

You learn better by choosing yourself rather than being compelled to do something and to follow of your own freewill shows more devotion than to follow out of force.
Although I sense a bit of a philosophical debate here, just like the existence of God, you cannot neither prove nor disprove the concept of freewill. There can be compelling arguments from both sides, but no definitive scientific proof. However, I have never been in a situation where I did not have the freedom to choose my own actions, thoughts, or attitude. You can never control what other people do but you can control yourself.

It is very simple, if there is an all knowing God then there is no possibility of freewill. As that all knowing God will know every step that you take throughout your life. You can not fool God by taking another step, since God already knows what steps you are going to take, and he would already know that you would try to fool him and already know what steps you will take. Hence since God would know those steps prior to your birth and you could know fool the all knowing God, therefore you have no choice but to take the steps that he has pre-determined for you (since God also created everything including time and all events that make up time). Hence if there is an all knowing God, there can not be freewill, since every event in your life God already knows about and you could not deviate from that path.

The point of free will is to make sense of human morality - without it there is no such thing as good or evil conduct
Humans have the power to change through their own free will, and these decisions alter their fates
The truly free will never be slaves to their own selves, or to any other person or thing

Freewill with a god is a shaggy dog tale. he's all understanding, so he's accustomed to what you are going to do in the past you do it. additionally, what variety of loose will is it whilst he grants regulations and says you extra suitable obey in any different case! confident, you do no longer could have self belief in him.....yet he's going to deliver you to everlasting torment. style of like the mafia boss. confident, you do no longer could pay him risk-free practices money in case you do no longer %. yet he's going to interrupt your knee caps.

Free will is a Christian theory, made to explain God's creation of Lucifer.
God created sin, therefore Christians needed to come up with a theory that gets him off the hook, because if he created sin, then he is not perfect, and the whole thing unravels philosophically.
Free will is a piece of chewing gum in the philosophical Christian belief dam.

The video didn't show that free will doesn't exist.
The maker of the video is ignorant of some of the facts concerning his subject matter.
In heaven there won't be any sin because of two things. The first thing is that in heaven our fallen human nature is restored to the state it was in before sin corrupted it. The second thing is that the choice to sin is based in part on having evil choices presented to us. There is no evil in heaven, no evil choices presented.

First understand..He gave "freewill" for us to follow Him..or not..Thats it,thats all..Freewill to live for Him or not for Him...Basically..So if u "choose" not to follow Him..Then there will be consequences, whether it be sometime in this life,or judgement..Freewill is shown to be,everyday.Everytime u make a choice its freewill,The problem is everyone doesnt act on their freewill according to Him and His ways..Shalom

God didn't want robots. He wanted to have beings that could interact with Him. But man destroyed the possibility of interacting with Him on the most personal level, when Adam & Eve ate the apple.
Jesus restored the ability to iteract with the Father on a one to one basis, when He died for our sins & rose again.
All we have to do is accept that gift.

Not everyone has free will or at least that's what we were told in the army. Maybe that's why we have free will, because the world is not conducted by military rules.
