Vista on a NEW machine is probably OK, but make sure there are Vista drivers for your Printer, Scanner, Camera, etc. FIRST. These are what cause most migration problems. Not all XP applications work in Vista, either.

Upgrading to Vista on an older PC is not a good idea YET, use the free Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor (See Below:) to test your PC's compatibility.

Then, wait until all the manufacturer's have Vista drivers in place. Until then, stick with XP.

Depends on what you call problems, as I do remember XP having loads of problems when it first come out and they were fixed by service packs, the same will happen with VISTA, the only downfall is the hardware software compatibility's. ctc

Then you're very lucky Deckie A!

Vista does have it's 'issues', some are resolved, others are not.

Most bugs should be ironed out with the forthcoming Service Pack 1. (Due 1st quarter 2008).

Has Vista still problems? It's like asking has Venice stopped sinking! There just ain't room to start cataloging them. Just stick to doing trivial things with it and you will be OK.
