Some do, depending on age and goals of the individual.
I'm glad my Dad wasn't that way, he took my mother, my sister and me into his heart and loved us like his own when my biological father left us. I pray that God will provide for you such a wife and companion for life in Jesus name.
Be picky when it comes to your children, if she doesn't understand when she marries you that she is marrying those children, don't even give it a second thought, or think you can change her.
These things come naturally as a gift from God, please don't grow impatient.

I will admit that I have...but, that's because I do not have children of my own. at one time, i was looking for a man that didn't have kids at all, living at home or not!!! to make a long story short, when you find the right woman, or in my case, she finds you, it won't really matter. i once said i will NEVER marry a man with children. well, never say never, my fiance has 3 girls!!! 19 (and getting married next month), 14, and 5!!!...i don't know if you are looking on the internet, but try ChristianCafe.com and i met the love of my life on Relationships.com, (both christian sites) which is called something else now, but if you type that in, it gives you the new site.
Good Luck!!! God will send her when YOU AND SHE are ready, trust me!!! it happened to me.

Can't speak for others, but that would probably be one of my first choices. I'm divorced and I have a child living with me...I would like my son to have the experience of brothers and sisters and I've always wanted a larger family...but am not strongly interested in getting pregnant again! A man (divorced or widowed) that already has kids and/or one that is interested in adopting older kids is the best ticket to my dreams at least!

The reality is stepmothers fair far worse than stepdads. The children are less likely to accept an new woman into their lives. A stepdad is seen as a financial provider.
I avoided dating men with children at home. The children can make things miserable.

A lot of women are looking for a good Daddy. So I wouldn't think they would.
