Years ago Rick Hendrick was missing from Nascar for quite awhile. The commentators always said it was becouse he had cancer.
The talk going around at the time was that he was actually in jail for, I think, for tax evasion.
If he did or does have cancer I am sympathetic to that as I have had a lot of that in my family recently, but if saying that was just a way to cover up where he really was, that stinks!
Please set me straight on this!
Thanks!

He was in trouble for taxes, but he also had cancer. In fact, when BP was diagnosed, he recommended his Dr. to Benny for treatment.

I BELIEVE THE STORY WAS THAT HE WAS ON HOUSE ARREST FOR TAX EVASION BUT WAS ALSO GOING TROUGH TREATMENT FOR CANCER. WHAT EVER THE CASE- HE IS NOT THE FIRST NOR WILL HE BE THE LAST PERSON TO DO TIME FOR TROUBLE BROUGHT ON BY HIMSELF!! GIVE THE GUY A BREAK AND DONT START REHASHING THIS.

WOW! First I've heard of any of this! Great question! Really though, don't you think having such a dreadful disease is punishment enough! It's not like he commited murder.
