I've given much thought to this question. My personal belief is that they honestly feel guilty for the blessings that Americans have versus how the rest of the world lives. I used to battle the same thing.
Anti-military: We always win and make others look weak and foolish.
Anti-Christian: Freedom, peace, love, and fairness rule in Christian (and Jewish) nations. Islam and others lead to brutality, massacres, and barbarism.
Anti-Business: They see the material blessings we are afforded and how the rest of the world goes without. They feel guilt because of this. Rather than teach the rest of the world our model (which is the best working model) they attack our country so as to bring it down to the level of others. Their guilt would be alleviated if this were to happen.
Liberal dislike of America is due to what they see in Hollywood and the blue states, rather than how they see decent working men and women in the red states.

Easy. Liberals aren't Anti-American. They aren't anti-military and the military isn't what keeps us safe. They aren't anti Christian and the founders didn't base the Constitution on Christian beliefs. They aren't anti business and business hasn't given us the strongest and richest economy the world has ever known. You're an idiot. If you want to make these weird accusations you might want to start providing links or sources to back them up.

By definition, almost all Americans are liberal. Unless you're going to go so far as to say you're against "freedom and individual liberty". Even George Bush is liberal. What a bloke!
Now before I can properly answer your rant, you'll need to find a better word instead of "liberal". You'll also need to prove all your assertions with linked sources.
Let's not forget that the founders of the United States supposedly based the constitution on Christian values, but for some reason didn't think the rights granted to "every man" applied to their personal slaves. Not exactly the type of lawmakers I'd want working on my individual rights and liberties.

And your source for this statement is what . . . . ?
I vote, I pay taxes, I stay informed and educated on the issues, employ people with my three businesses, and I am an activist - how does this make me 'anti American? Besides, I am also native-American so you Johhny-come-lately types have no claim to being "American".
Also, fyi, there are more independent and small business people in California, home of us "liberals" (as well as the Crystal Cathedral ), and as the California economy goes ( the 6th largest in the world ) so goes the USA's economy. And when is the last time your boy W as been here? How many times has he been here? And it was he who told his campaign staff, "we will win without California as that is a blue state". So frankly, you simply don't know what the hell you are writing about . . .

The question is a false one:
They're not anti-military: They're against using the military as cannon fodder, against having them killed needlessly for hubris, against abandoning them once their bodies are spent, they're against forcing them to longer and longer terms of service with no breaks, they're against sending them in with no equipment. That's all pro-military.
They're not anti-Christian, they're against religion in government, which is EXACTLY how the founders based the Constitution. The founders were in agreement that religion was for the churches, and government was a separate matter, and both would be diminished by inter-mingling.
They're not anti-business, but they are against elevating selfish greed over the good of the people. You know, "We the People..."? The founders were also against a permanent, non-working landed aristocracy, which is what the Republican favor.
You need to take a remedial US history class. ASAP.

You seem to want all Democrats boxed into what you describe a Liberal to be. If anyone is ANTI AMERICAN, it would be YOU and fools like you who simply follow what ever King George throws out there. I pity you. What we believe in is a strong and independant country where we abide by the original Constitution and Bill of Rights our fore fathers put into place 200 years ago. We don't simply follow our party lines with blinders on as YOU do Neocon. We are the true Americans, you are the Nazis.

I don't think that liberals are anti-American. I truly believe that they think they are doing what's best for our country. I think the balance of ideas between liberals and conservatives help keep our country in check and on the right path. It's all about democracy. And I'm a staunch conservative.
I just wish everyone (liberals and conservatives) was more informed and didn't attack the other side with such vile.

You are really confused aren't you. Liberals want a defense force not a preemptive one.
Read a little more as you will find out that the Masons had a big influence on our constitution and the Bible was not as prevalent as you believe.
Business is fine, it is the long standing goal of the Republicans to freeze the classes that is the worry. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Do not just lip phrases, but instead do a little open minded research!

Liberals, Conservatives, blah blah blah, were all americans, were all entitled to the same rights and subject to the same laws, most of the people who bash the millitary and America, are those who have never thought about serving it, war is nessecary, plain and simple, people will always pave paradise to build a parking lot, im sure their are liberals in the millitary, and Im sure their are republican protesters, but if you dont approve of America, the millitary, leave. I didnt say if you dont approve the war, i dont, doesnt mean Im not going to do everything I can to serve in it.Some people need to take these petty arguements back to the sanbox.

That's crazy talk. Most Americans are liberal. You do realize there are other types of business besides massive corporations right? Small businesses are far more important to capitalism than international conglomerations. Don't rely on the GOP to safegaurd the freemarket for you- they have no interest in keeping it free for newcomers.
Actually, the strongest and richest economy the world ever knew was about 7 years ago. Interesting timing, isn't it?

you know, as much as I argue with a lot of libs on the military and business issue, I can't really call them Anti-American.
They just have different ideas about what America should be.
I thik they're wrong, and do not agree with them, but I would defend their right to say those things to the death.
