Hi. I know in the past I have entered a special code (*# 124etc.) on a phone or Fax keypad and its allowed the machine to go into 'normally hidden' service settings and set up certain things on the device and was wondering if anyone knows if or what a code I could try for this Panasonic Panafax UF-S1 Fax Machine I have here or maybe someone has a schematic service manual for the UF-S1 and it has it listed in there? Many thanks, Andy.

Contact Quest and ask them to configure the number of phone rings before the incoming call is forwarded to your voicemail service. If you are receiving number of faxes everyday, it is best to have your fax machine connected to a dedicated phone line. Internet fax service which is the trend right now is also a good faxing option.

Probably way out of date now, but perhaps the codes you refer to are remote function codes, enabling when ringing your machine from another location [ie on holiday or on business abroad] to either hear new messages or change the greeting etc?

When Dialing in, listen to the greeting, after the beep press #, after another beep

a. press 2# to playback messages - to repeat press 1, to skip press 3.
b. press 41# to erase greeting message.
c. press 42# to record a new greeting message, when completed, press #
d. press 6# to erase all messages.
