Homemade potato soup that my grandma left me the recipe for.It has potatos, bacon and onions that are sauted in the bacon grease, in a milk based soup mix with garlic, and butter floating on top. I wish I could explain it better.
Second choice would be home made clam chowder.

Any soup. I love soup too. I generally make a veggie soup with a little pasta or a cream of whatever veggie I have on hand soup.

Love all soups even cold soups like Gazpacho. But for what your describing it has to be a spicy malachatany soup with some crusty bread.

On cold days, I usually like a heavier soup like split pea or lentil or maybe a chicken and corn chowder.

HAM AND PEA SOUP
2 (11 1/4 oz.) cans condensed green pea soup
1 c. chicken broth
2 c. milk
6 3/4 oz. can chunk style ham, drained, diced OR
1 c. diced fully cooked ham
2 oz. can mushroom stems and pieces
1/4 c. dry white wine
In saucepan, combine pea soup and chicken broth; stir in milk. Cook and stir until heated through. Stir in ham, undrained mushrooms, and wine; heat through. Serves 4-6.

Panera's baked potato soup and french baguette. Onion soup( Campbell's) is pretty good to with a sandwich. Yummy !

I love soup. You should have minestrone or tomato rotoni. I like almost all soups, except chowders. I don't really care for them.
