Religion deals with life and death and those are not mythology and folklore but reality.
Of course, everyone is free to ignore the reality but that doesn't affect the reality. Before a child is born, he doesn't believe in the world he will soon start to discover also, doesn't care much about the world around him but that doesn't make the world disappear. And just as a child, everyone one day will know the truth about life and death (religion).

Cheers!

I guess it depends on who's doing the asking and answering.
There should probably be a separate section in both forums so that discussions are more productive and less hateful.
If I don't care for sports and think that they are a huge waste of time and money, then I really have no business hanging out in any of the sports forums and making derisive comments. To do so, would be an aggressive act on my part, to put down others does not nothing to help this world.

So I can read responses by fundies to questions by 13 year olds about whether Ouija boards work and whether ghosts exist and also get an eyeful of rants about the evils of magick and neopaganism and preChristian mythological and spiritual concepts? That would s ck. Leave the mythology section alone. It's bad enough that it's overrun by fundy Christians and Atheists--the Buddhists and Hindus have to go over to the philosophy section to post their spiritually-oriented questions.

*puts coffee on for everyone who will be adding to their hangovers because of this question*

No -- R&S is about the PRACTICES and the LIVING FAITH (or lack thereof in the case of the Atheists here -- who can still be spiritual)

Mythology and folklore includes OTHER things than just religion

Sure, then we can put the politics section into the silly wasteful section while we're at it.

You get to make the call for you, and they get to make the call for them. Just because there's so many of them doesn't make them right or wrong, just "enough to get a section" all to themselves, just like wasteful, silly Dems and Reps.
