I'm pretty sure this is normal. There are so many animals that do this as a sign of dominance. It has nothing to do with sexual relations, and everything to do with who is the boss.

Well, first off, I have two male guinea pigs, and one day monty got very excited and started humping duke. If I were you, I would look up SEXING A MOUSE on google, and if they are both females they are just "in the mood" if you know what I mean.

If they are male and female seperate them. You dont want anymore little babies on hte way and I would look up MOUSE PREGNANCY becuase if they actually got to mate, than she is most likely pregnant.

Take care darling,
natalie

This is usually a dominance thing. Some of our female rats have done this, as well as our male cats. Perfectly normal & harmless.
