Mary's womb was the vessel that carried Jesus, the Son of God. Jesus was God and it would not be right for a perfect God made flesh to dwell within, and be born from a person tainted by original sin.
Mary had to be free of original sin to be worthy of carrying Jesus in her womb for nine months. And, in effect, of being the mother of God made man.
The Church believed this from the earliest days, and this belief was passed down through the tradition of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church from the time of the Apostles. It was confirmed as a certain belief of Christianity by the Pope in the nineteenth century.
At that time this long held belief was given the name the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception, and this title is now applied to Mary.
Mary herself confirmed this belief when she appeared to Saint Bernadette at Lourdes, she announced to Bernadette (who had never actually heard of the Immaculate Conception) "I am the Immaculate Conception"

Mary was not born without original sin. If she was she would still be alive. Adam was not made to die or eve. They died because they sinned. The Bible says all men die because we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Didn't exclude Mary in that. They also say that she remained a virgin with is not true. Jesus had brothers and sisters the bible tells us. God used her as a surrogate mother to carry the life force of Jesus human body. She was a Virgin until Jesus was born then Joseph took her as a wife. He at this time knew she was pregnant but he could also see she was still a virgin. So there was no doubt in his mind that it was by miraculous conception.

Jesus was born without original sin as was his mother, Mary. Original sin passed through both mother and father as our original parents (Adam and Eve) both sinned against God. Mary was born in what is referred to as the immaculate conception, meaning God spared her from the stain of original sin. Jesus was born unto Mary and had no earthly father and therefore was also without original sin.
Mary is the new ark of the covenant. The Ark was made pure and carried the word of God (the ten commandments) as Mary was made pure, also carrying the (living) word of God.
OK. Bring on the next attack!

I'm a Christian and I don't believe Mary was born without sin. Jesus was born without sin, but Mary was just a regular woman who God chose to give birth to Jesus and raise him.

No, he was preparing the best Mother for him. She needed to be saved but, her Salvation was applied to her at her conception so she was not born with Original Sin. This is not so hard to contemplate knowing all things are possible with God.

Mary was sinless from birth just like we are all sinless from birth. The teaching to say that we are "stained" upon birth is a false teaching and not biblical.
Mary, most likely, was in fact a "sinner" by the time she was impregnated with the baby Jesus.

Mary was not born "sinless". That is a purely Catholic belief that is borne of paganism and is not scriptural.
And God didn't "do it" with anyone. Why is it so difficult for people to believe that the God who can create stars, moons and planets, can't create 23 chromosomes, and place it in a woman?
