My cat has ruined 3 pairs of earphones, and 2 phone chargers because she will not stop chewing on them. Also, she has 2 choices of litter boxes, yet still pees on my roommate's bed everytime she gets the chance.

My roommate is getting very angry with me, and I cant afford to buy her a new mattress pad and phone charger every week. What do i do?

Get rid of the cat. It's simple economics. If you keep the cat, you will have to keep replacing the things that it ruins. That costs money. If you no longer have the cat it can no longer ruin things. If there are no things being ruined, you will not have to pay for them. Don't just dump the cat outside, try putting it up for adoption or giving it to someone. Also, you could take out the cat's teeth and put a catheter in it, but that's just mean and way too expensive.

Maybe he is teething if he's young or he is very bored. Tape all of the wires down on the carpet with duct tape and keep all other wires like headphones out of reach when not in use. Provide him amusing toys and chewing toys so he will stay busy. Pet stores even sell cat chewing bones/sticks so you may try that too. If he still chew on wires you can hiss at him. It's a universal sound of danger or disapproval so he'd understand. Then toss him some toys or chewing bones so he'd get distracted.

How old is your cat? The wire chewing is common with kittens. You need to just "cat proof" the house a little better. Have you taken your cat in to visit the vet to make sure she/he doesn't have a UTI? Sometimes when animals have infections or don't feel well they will act out. Also you need to make sure both litter boxes are clean? Sometimes cats will let you know when the litter box isn't up to their standards. Maybe you also might want to invest in one of those plug-in's you can get at the petstore. They have a scent that helps keep cats or dogs calm.
Another option is just making sure your roommate shuts her door. If the door is shut, the cat cant get in there and pee!

The AntiCruelty Society takes calls on pet misbehavior. Your cat doesn't seem to like your roommate for some reason. I can understand why your roommate doesn't like your cat. Using enzymatic pet odor and stain removers (from the pet store) can clean up the mattress pad and bedding, removing stains and odors when directions are followed. I've never had a cat chewing on wires, although I've had rabbits do the same. At the pet stores there are "cat away" sprays, bitter apple, that you can spray on anything to keep cats away. Sounds like you need to spray, and respray your wires and roommate's bed.

Haha, sounds like your cat is telling you something.

1. That your roommate is bad. :D (JK)
2. Your cat has a phobia of electrical things and is getting rid of it.
3. Needs more toys. :D

Maybe you should get some kind of anti cat thing...those alarms for counters? And put it on the bed. Maybe the cat litter needs changing. And just store your wires somewhere when they aren't being used.

the cat has issues...wipes dish soap or lemon juice along the plastic ...

something about the bed or room mate the cat does not like...

is room mate male or female? perfume?

there are "OFF" cat sprays for items, be sure the litter box is very clean...I had a cat who wet my right slipper after 3 lumps in the box...

have a neighbor with a dog? brush the dog and keep the hair..make a (dog smelly bag) for the bed...cat will smell the dog....

The cat is showing extreme dislike for your roommate. Has she abused the cat in any way? Keep the earphones and chargers in drawers where the cat can't get to them. Also tell your roommate to keep her door closed.

I hate to tell you this but your cat does not like your roommate.. your best bet is to get rid of the cat or the roommate... one will have to go.. You can also lock your cat up in a cage when you are not there.. Make sure your roommate keeps her bedroom door shut at all times to ensure the cat cant get in there too.. good luck..

Usually it means the cat needs more attention and better training. Maybe it needs to be nuetered/spayed, it may help. Usually cats and dogs do that to get there owners attention, get him more toys like fake mice, that move when u charge them, or something to keep his mind off the bed and wires. I hope this help u.

Find a suitable punishment for these things, but find a nice treat for litterbox use, etc. If the punishments grow more and more frequent, consider leashing up your cat, or something, for a while, then give it another chance.
