First, give your dog a good bath to remove the existing flea's on his body. Then wait a few days (for the oil's to build back up) and use a good flea treatment that you get from a vet... Frontline, Advantix, etc.

You'll then need to bomb your home - twice, 1 week apart. Bombs don't usually kill flea eggs, and eggs hatch after 7 days.

You'll then need to get some yard spray to help fend off any bugs - but that's going to be harder to maintain, as it's not a controlled environment.

So... 1) give your dog a bath, 2) bomb your home 3) Keep your dog indoors as much as possible until you are able to give him the flea control product 5) spray your yard with flea/bug control stuff that you can get from Home Depot, etc 6) Re-bomb your home 7 days after the first bomb.

The flea control stuff for your dog will need to be re-applied every month.

Go to your vet's office and buy some K9 Advantix or Frontline +. These both kill fleas currently on the dog and repel them for the rest of the month as well. You will need to repeat the treatment once a month. Fleas cannot live except on the dog. They jump off to breed and lay eggs but need the dog to live. So once you've treated the dog, the other fleas in your house will quickly die too.

Don't use anything from a store, because it won't work, hence the cheap prices. Go into a vets and get some proper treatment.

You need Frontline for your puppy (the spray version if he's under 8 weeks old or under 4lb), and a decent spray for your house and yard. Choose from what a vet has on offer and stay away from store-bought products and you'll be sorted.

I have 2 dogs:

Wash the dog in green Palmolive (it works better at killing fleas than flea shampoo)

Get enough Raid flea bomb for your house

Get 7 Dust for the yard (7 dust kills all sorts of bugs and is not harmful to your pet)

I think I am a Vegan because I am a sadist and want to hear Vegetable scream in pain. (Well .... an ulterior motive is because I heard George Bush hates eating Broccoli, I suspect that might be the reason why he make those funny remarks. Therefore, in order not to be a clown, I have to eat Broccoli.)
