I don't care what anyone says, I absolutely hate that song.

It's been said that I can, at times, be like a thorn in ones side. If that's the case, does that mean I should have a rose...because I don't. Every rose has its thorn, but does every thorn have its rose? Maybe I just haven't found my rose yet, and that would explain why there are still thorns, or no?

Because there are still roses.

There is potential for beauty in every moment - even when things seem darkest... sometimes, especially when things seem darkest.

Everything needs some sort of strength - some sort of protection from forces that might not have its best interests at heart. Without thorns, roses could not thrive.

There are still thorns so that the potential for beauty (and love and life and hope and faith and all the other things that might fall under that "beautiful" label) can survive.

Honestly. I would never want a rose without it's thorns. Just like every night has it's dawn. Smiles.

If every rose has it's thorn, then why are there still roses?

The good, the bad and the beautiful, baby!

Double meaning here... every piece of beauty has it's downside; thus the thorn on the rose. So, go and find a flower other than the rose.

Because one has to take the bad with the good and in the end fighting through the thorns is worth being with the rose.

Because if roses didn't have thorns cowboys wouldn't have reasons to sing sad sad songs.

Because there are stil roses?

One could make the case that the thorns only exist in contrast to the roses and vice versa.

Therefore if we are not so keen to place labels on people, especially moral one, then people would actually be better on average then they are now.

It is somwhat relaed to "judge not lest ye be judged", but not exactly the same.

That is what I think that phrase really means.
