Worship: Jason Upton, Matt Redman, Hillsong United (there is also Hillsong - United is a little younger-skewing, Hillsong is a little more straight worship - both are from Hillsong Church in Australia and both are great).
Hard Rock: Family Force Five, Flyleaf, Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, Fireflight, Skillet, Falling Up, The Wedding, Decyfer Down, Kutless (they have a really great rock/worship CD called Strong Tower)
Pop/Rock: Jeremy Camp, Superchic(k), The Afters, Mainstay, Switchfoot, Relient K
Adult/Contemporary: Casting Crowns, David Crowder Band

Go to one of those music stores that lets you listen to music beofre you buy with headphones. Whatever you can find in the Christian section is probably good stuff.
Also, whoever wins Dove awards (Religious Grammy) is usually pretty good.
Some of these artists also win Grammy's. I would recommend Point of Grace (female quartet), and Rebecca St. James (pop rock).
Then buy at a local Christian bookstore, and ask them for their favorites.

Well, I must admit: Protestants beat the snot out of us Catholics in THIS area. If you like Christian rock, find a local protestant FM station. (I don't know any artists myself. I'm a Gregorian Chant type of guy. It mellows me out.)
