It's a good thing because I don't like to be drunk.

Depends on the guy. Some guys are idiots when they're drunk where others are not.
Im a fun guy to be around and kick it with, and after 25 beers Im even more fun, singing, laughing getting the whole bar involved, etc.
But set that aside, I wouldn't feel I was being nagged, I feel that she just doesn't wanna put up with drunk guys late at night. Its a resonable request.

Yes she does care and she also cares about herself...Its disrespectful to turn up at someones house all drunk... I dont blame her for saying something...BUT you have to decide whether the drinking is more important than the love and friendship this woman is offering.
Make a decision whats more important becuase dont drag her down with your alcoholic ways.

That seems like a completely rational request. I would feel like she was controlling if I could never drink but otherwise would respect that. Besides, if I have to be drunk to see my new girlfriend, we probably aren't going to make it.

are you serious with this? nagged about being drunk you're not being nagged she telling you to do something that she shouldn't even have to. you shouldn't show up drunk out of consideration for her.

I would imagine most women tend to resent their boyfriends showing up wasted...
nagging would be if she never shut up about your drinking... to the point that you feel you need to drink just to tolerate her complaining about your drinking.
controlling would be more if she was trying to get you to stop drinking period, even when you're with your friends and shes not around...

Not a guy, but my guess is she believes you're an a--hole, when you are drunk..
Now would be a good time to get off the booze...
