Isn't the assumption of Mary likened to their own idea of a "rapture"? The first, the greatest of all Saints, the Mother of God, why wouldn't He take her?

Protestants are looking at only a fraction of the Faith.

Read the last sentence of the Gospel of St. John....

The angel Gabriel referred to her as "Ave Maria, gratia plena." (the Latin Vulgate.....THE Bible). "Haily Mary, full of grace".

At such time, Jesus had not been born nor died on the cross for our sins. The only way that she could be full of grace was if she was born without the stain of original sin......which makes all the since in the world as God could not be born in an impure vessel.

Now, we read about how the Ark of the Covenant of the OT had to be made of pure acacia wood in order to carry the written Word of God......How much more pure must the New Ark of the Covenant be in order to carry the Incarnate Word of God for 9 months!

With her fiat, she provided Jesus the flesh with which He would sacrfice on the cross for our sins, thereby opening the gates of Heaven.

Death is a consequence of Adam's sin. Read Genesis. It was not part of God's original plan.

Our Lady, was born free from such sin.....and was not subject to it.

Jesus was not about to allow such a pure soul that carried the Incarnate Word of God to realize corruption........corruption which is a result of original sin in the first place.

TN,
I imagine that the 4th Marian Dogma is a catholic idea. It is not a part of the BIBLE and has no bearing on a Christian's Life whatsoever. YOU say that Mary was the "first saint" but those who were baptized at Pentecost Acts 2) became Christians and were considered "saints" on earth long before your group declared or voted for anyone to be a "saint". The 4th Marian Dogma has no relevance on the life of a Christian as far as I am concerned. Have a great week.
Thank YOU,

The first and greatest of all the saints is the problem. She may possibly be the first saint if you consider she got saved when she referred to Jesus as my Lord and my savior while still pregnant. As far as the greatest of the saints would you mind showing me where the Bible says that? First God is no respecter or persons. Second all Christians are saints. The Bible clearly teaches that. This is the whole problem I have with all the Marian dogma it elevates Mary to the point where she is worshiped. Or if not worshiped the next thing to it. You elevate her almost to the status of God.

I'm not afraid of it, I just don't believe it. Yes, Mary was very blessed to bring Jesus into the world but she was still a normal human being just like everyone else. Certainly she is in Heaven but nowhere in the Bible does it say that she has any special place and it certainly doesn't doesn't say you should pray to anyone other than God Himself. For that matter, all believers are saints, not just certain people.

There was no assumption of Mary in Scripture.

Sorry, dear one, but Mary didn't ascend to heaven bodily. That's folk lore. She was human just like everyone else.

What is there to be afraid of?

God bless!

Well, Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother---o.k., if I was God how would I do that? I guess the first thing I would do is bring her to Heaven right away and "Not let my Holy One see decay" like Scripture says. She gave her flesh to Jesus who gives his flesh to us. It is interesting that women today look at the baby within them as THEIR FLESH to do whatever they'd like to do --- even kill--- and then turn around and say that Jesus' flesh was different than hers.

In my view, it seems to come close to worship.

I'm not afraid of it.

Afraid of it? More like they don't believe your dogma. BTW, my karma ran over your dogma.
