Go to" Dr Goggle"
Type "Medical Qigong"
Look for a guy called Chunyi Lin ...Spring Forest Qigong

Seeing is believing
the other sites that google bring up help you to understand what Medical Qigong is This is used for healing hard Qigong is used in Martial arts also check out Qigong on Utube
Even though Your Dear Mum is in great pain she can start doing this seated in a chair
Spring forest takes on average two to three weeks to learn some other forms can take many years
I bought a copy over ten years ago and have never seen this fail to heal It defies logic
It uses this free energy Chinese People call Chi/Qi/Chee
Of course the medics know many of them use it themselves
This is China's National Treasure
May Your Mum Be Well
Edit
See there are many medics on here
Why don't you tell the Girl the truth
While you may fix up other illness you haven't a clue with any back problem
Maybe Her Mother already knows this and is reluctant to see anyone

Does your mum consume diet drinks?
If so, she needs to stop. Here's an extract from one article, but if you want to find out more, do a search on Asparame poisoning:
The truth about aspartame's toxicity is far different than what the NutraSweet Company would have you readers believe. ... By the FDA's own admission fewer then ONE PERCENT of those who have problems with something they consume ever report it to the FDA. This balloons the almost 10,000 complaints they once had to around a million. However, the FDA has a record keeping problem (they never did respond to the certified letter from the WEBMASTER of this site... a major victim!) and they tend to discourage or even misdirect complaints, at least on aspartame. The fact remains, though, that MOST victims don't have a clue that aspartame may be the cause of their many problems! Many reactions to aspartame were very serious including seizures and death. Those reactions included:
Abdominal Pain
Anxiety attacks
arthritis
asthma
Asthmatic Reactions
Bloating, Edema (Fluid Retention)
Blood Sugar Control Problems (Hypoglycemia or Hyperglycemia)
Brain Cancer (Pre-approval studies in animals)
Breathing difficulties
burning eyes or throat
Burning Urination
can't think straight
Chest Pains
chronic cough
Chronic Fatigue
Confusion
Death
Depression
Diarrhea
Dizziness
Excessive Thirst or Hunger
fatigue
feel unreal
flushing of face
Hair Loss (Baldness) or Thinning of Hair
Headaches/Migraines dizziness
Hearing Loss
Heart palpitations
Hives (Urticaria)
Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
Impotency and Sexual Problems
inability to concentrate
Infection Susceptibility
Insomnia
Irritability
Itching
Joint Pains
laryngitis
"like thinking in a fog"
Marked Personality Changes
Memory loss
Menstrual Problems or Changes
Migraines and Severe Headaches (Trigger or Cause From Chronic Intake)
Muscle spasms
Nausea or Vomiting
Numbness or Tingling of Extremities
Other Allergic-Like Reactions
Panic Attacks
Phobias
poor memory
Rapid Heart Beat
Rashes
Seizures and Convulsions
Slurring of Speech
Swallowing Pain
Tachycardia
Tremors
Tinnitus
Vertigo
Vision Loss
Weight gain

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
Panic Disorder
Depression and other Psychological Disorders
How it happens:
Methanol, from aspartame, is released in the small intestine when the methyl group of aspartame encounters the enzyme chymotrypsin (Stegink 1984, page 143). Free methanol begins to form in liquid aspartame-containing products at temperatures above 86 degrees F.. also within the human body.
The methanol is then converted to formaldehyde. The formaldehyde converts to formic acid, ant sting poison. Toxic formic acid is used as an activator to strip epoxy and urethane coatings. Imagine what it does to your tissues!
Phenylalanine and aspartic acid, 90% of aspartame, are amino acids normally used in synthesis of protoplasm when supplied by the foods we eat. But when unaccompanied by other amino acids we use [there are 20], they are neurotoxic.

She really should see a Doctor or Chiropractitioner and find out what is causing the problem. It could be lots of things and most can be helped with physiotherapy.
She could try putting a board under her mattress and getting a Tens machine for her pain. Lloyds Pharmacies have a special offer on at the moment and it's the equivalent price of two prescriptions for painkillers.
The trouble is just treating the symptoms will not help and in the long run could cause her far more pain and lead to disability! As you say she is not old, why suffer at a time she should be enjoying life?

Most familys go through this, my mum always got on better with my sister, they were very alike, had lots in common whereas i just didn't share the same interests as them, i always got on better with my dad as we had similar interests. It gets easier as you grow up and move away from home as you aren't under eachothers feet all the time. Try and find a shared interest with your mum, somthing the 2 of you can do together without your twin around. you need to find out why you aren't close to your family, perhaps its something you're doing to keep it that way, make more effort to talk to them and do things together. You need to make the most of your mum and your family, they are the people who will always be there for you and once they're gone you cant replace them.

Young Lady
Asking as you are on here would suggest your mum has no confidence in western medicine
Neither do I after going through the mill with a back problem myself
I wouldn't encourage anyone to go near any medic They are bad news when it comes to the back not that they will ever admit it mind
I wouldn't drag your mum anywhere
Must be getting desperate these days
The horror stories are endless
I have seen Qi Kung work I would encourage you to follow that route
Good Luck with it Little One

What has all this painkiller got to do? Just to ease the pain not cure. At this age there's a term called osteoporosis, in another word lack of calcuim. Never allow her to sleep on the floor, especially marble floor. They may be cooling to sleep on but it not good for health.

It could be anything pulled muscle this can be done very easy without realising it and very painful. Your mom needs to go to doctor with this as soon as possible noone could or should say what it may or may not be over the net as she needs to be examined and asked a few questions.
No paracetamol no doctors why?

She may have something like a prolapsed (slipped) disc or problems with the joint (sacro iliac) between her spine and hip. When people are walking "crooked" it usually looks as though one hip is higher than the other; this is called scoliosis.
She needs to see a medical person to have it assessed and be advised about treatment.
Make sure she lies flat as much as possible until she can be seen by a doc who may prescribe some anti inflammatory pills. She may need to see a physiotherapist.

she certainly has my sympathy, but she must go to doctors to have him/her Diagnose what exactly is going on, I have suffered lower back pain for many years, mine is caused by the fluid getting inflamed between lower discs, and can be excruciating, I found a brilliant Osteopath that puts all my discs back into place, then I use ice packs (on her recomendation) to ease the inflamation....but your mum really needs to see a Doctor to find best treatment for her
