Just a typical hysterical Christian. I thought she was going to start speaking in tongues. This old Atheist is happy she decided to accept the money. I do not believe she was mentally ill as some claim. The woman was just very, very pissed off. Anyone can get that way. She just happened to have a movie camera in her face. People try to make too much of an incident like this.

Oh me, oh my....now that is truly a rant! Objecting to her son's beliefs is one thing, she is certainly entitled to her opinion as are we all, but rage like that is way, way over the line and appears to indicate problems which are much more serious... hope her family is spending some of that cash on getting her some help, and counseling for that poor little girl to help her deal with watching her mother explode like that....positive thoughts and wishes going out to them from this corner - p&l

Obviously the woman is mentally ill and is in need of some medical and psychological intervention. Have some compassion. Holding her up to ridicule the way you have done is cruel.
If you're going to use her as an example to bash Christians you're going to have to do better than that.

I don't even need to watch to know they will say "she's not a 'real' Christian". It's the all purpose defense when one of them acts in a bad way.

Being in Oz I don't have much to do with religious folk so it was interesting to see how the fundie carries on over their delusion; I can add that to my impression of the * Phelps crowd.

Imagine how badly those kids fear their mother, even the husband was cowering! The kids have no chance at being normal, regardless of religion.
