No. They have the right to believe whatever they want to. What we need to do is save the country from their meddling in the laws.

I feel that maybe we should "Save" some of the more easily swindled Christians from cult leaders who cut them off from healthy, normal socialization with the outside world and teach them that anything outside the church is so incredibly EEEEEEEEEEVIIIIIIL that God will send them to Hell if they even hear so much as one lyric from a secular song.
That kind of brain washing leads to mass suicides like in Jonestown, schizms and many of their kids turning into junkies (the pastor's daughter), or incredibly cynical "Gnostic Pagans" (the last one would be me, by the way).

Sure, we would like to be saved. Who wouldn't want to be saved? Salvation is important to us. and if there's somebody who could save us, it is God. We cannot be saved by non-believers because we're not on the same league; so we don't really need your help.

(Excuse me...) But my main duty is to the "Church", to christians...this is my assignment from the Lord before all else and above everything...and, since Salvation is an "ongoing process" and not complete as of yet, then the asker isn't "wrong" in their "question", just in the thought and intention of it...correct? So, our answer should be "yes!" and we are doing the best we can with the help of the Lord Jesus.. thank you....(amen?)

No, especially not atheists because that would make us hypocrites. We don't like it when people preach to us so why should we turn around and do it to them? Golden Rule and such.

It is the duty of every government to save all the religions and their respects.

Save them from superstitious beliefs? Sure. Or we should, at least, try. However, we shouldn't make the mistake that they do in pushing it in their faces every chance we get. We should limit ourselves to proper forums, like this one, and only address specific issues as they come up. The same is true of people of other religions.

Religion continues to do a lot of harm to society, and it should be countered. However, we can't do it by forcing them to abandon their beliefs. It has to be done through education. We have to push the value of reason, logic, and evidence in society. We should counter religious claims with well-thought out explanations, and not just bash the people who make the claims.

Such beliefs are emotionally based, so we also have to address the emotional attraction of reason over superstition, if we are going to pull society up out of their dependence on fantasy. Just throwing facts at them won't work. We also have to show them respect, show them our emotional basis for doing things, and show them the emotional downside of trusting in fables, in addition, of course to having well-establish reason, logic, and evidence to back all of this up.

Why just Christians? Surely our mission of salvation should extend to ALL poor, benighted folk living under the tyranny of institutionalised religious superstition!
