Get her to A&E urgently. She could have a bone trapped blocking her circulation. If she has really broken it, im sure she would not be able to still be walking, or working for that matter.

She could have serious nerve damage, or her blood supply could be cut off to some tissues - this is so potentially serious it could lead to loss of the leg below the knee if it is indeed broken and the nerve or blood supply affected
I broke one ankle less seriously years ago but still needed treatment and a cast and 4 years ago I broke my other my ankle seriously in a horse riding accident. This time I had pins and needles due to nerve damage and a compromised blood supply and I still have this nerve damage and I did go to A&E both times
With this ankle I am now many operations on - I still have pins and needles due to nerve danage and nearly had to have it amputated. I was in a wheelchair for a year and wore a fixator ( which is not nice) and have now had an ankle fusion which means I have no ankle joint but at least I kept my leg and I am now out of pain.
But what makes you think it is broken?
As when I broke either the pain was so bad I could not avoid going to A& E I could not walk at all and simply could not survive the pain without morphine and treatment as an ankle break is always very painful.
So if she can bear it and not go, I find it difficult to think she has actualuy broken her ankle - it could be a bad strain which is still painful and still needs treatment
But if she will not go - all you can do is try and if she is scared offer to support her and go with her.
But ulimatley it is her decision.
But tell her from me that she could end up disabled for life if she does - as I am despite having imediate treatment
You can not mess with ankles - without a good ankle you can't walk

Are you sure it is broken? Because I have broken my ankle before and I went straight to a&e because of the pain!
If she has, maybe she is scared? I don't know but she should really have it checked out before it gets worse x

she should get herself to hospital, mine was swollen for ages and I had to have a foot pump on it to get the swelling down , they could not operate until the swelling was a bit easier, so she needs to get her act together I am recovering from my ankle being broken in two places, it takes ages to recover the best thing is to get back to walking when plasters are off

What an idiot. I broke my ankle and it hurt like hell. I can't believe she has not gotten medical attention. How is she walking? On a broken ankle, you can't.
