I like spontaneity on first dates. I hate it when a guy is trying to do everything that he saw in a movie somewhere, or trying to impersonate something that someone told him was cool. The date goes way smoother, when both people can feel comfortable, just being themselves. I like coming up with fun things o do before I go out on a date, that way I can contribute something fun and refreshing on our outing too, in stead of just letting him come up with all the ideas. It's better that way.
For example: If we meet somewhere, I'll probably have him meet me near a spot that I plan on showing him, and after that, we can go wherever he wants to go. I like it when a guy is polite and opens doors and pulls out chairs and does all those nice gestures, it's just sweet ya know? I love exciting conversations (as you mentioned above). I like a guy who can make me laugh all throughout the date. That quality is what made me really want to be in a relationship with my ex in the first place. We broke up for different reasons, but a great sense of humor, is really attractive to me, because I'm a funny girl and I like to laugh. Laughing breaks the ice, and allows you to be more comfortable around one another, especially if you are just getting to know them. Those are qualities that I like anyway.

Well my first date w/ current bf, he was affection but respectful. He would put his are around my waist when we walked, I LOVE THAT. He took me for walk around the lake in my favorie park. He asked me was their anything that I WANTED TO DO. He was offended when I offered to pay my half of dinner. When we went to the movies, he bought a big tub of popcorn for the both of us to share and asked me if I wanted butter before he put any on. He made me feel comfortable to talk to him. We had an all day date, that started w/ lunch and went all the way to dinner it was great. Have been together for 2 yrs.
My bf is white, when some black guys were trying to be disrespectful to me & him for our being together, he didn't go all caveman on me, he simply took my hand and led me out of the park & we continued our date. What a gentlemen my baby is.

I love when he learns what my favortie flower is before the date either through talking with me or my friends and then buy them for me either on the date or before and brings them along. I love when he's a total gentleman, opening doors and paying for such. I like the old school gentlemen a lot.

i love when a guy makes me laugh. if hes a gentleman and respectful he will def. get a second date.
