Hi I just bought my earring cartilage jewelry online and still have not receive it.From the looks of the picture, my ear hole would have to be slightly a little bit bigger than regular earrings. The bar size is 1.26mm/.067 inches. Anyone have any clue what size I would need to stretch my ear hole or what I need?thanks

I dont know what size my ear holes are..they're regular I guess. The smalles because I just wear those regular girly earrings that you buy anywhere. Typical studs.

youre going to need to gauge your ear a tiny bit... if you try and force it through, you can get a really bad infection since your cartilage is a very ssensitive area. youll probably only need to gauge it by one or two sizes; try somewher like hot topic, they have starter kits carrying the smallest sizes. if you really feel the need to force it through, WAIT until your ear is completely healed from the piercing (im not sure exactly when you got it done; it might already be healed). then it will be easier to do it without much pain.

Just keep cleaning your ears like you have been. But don't slack off until it is totally healed. Sounds like you have a little infection but nothing too bad. It is the puss that is changing color and probably from sitting on the metal of the earring. Just keep cleaning them as usual. You may have slept on them wrong also. I had the same problem when I got my first holes done at 8 years old. I had continued to have problems off and on until they healed. Well throughout my life my first holes have caused me problems. Didn't get right until I found the right metal for my ears. I cant use stainless, and the plastic posted earrings don't work well for me either. I can wear gold and silver. Now I have 3 more holes in each ear and have had no problems with those. You may find that is all you can do is to change the earrings. You may be allergic. If it persists for more than a few weeks, you may want to see a doctor. You may need antibiotics to totally heal. I say a few weeks because you may just need to heal. But you don't want to take chances when you have an open wound. Which is what you have. You should know if it needs a doctors care. And if the pain is so bad you cant take it don't wait. Go to the doctors. If your ear changes color like a blue or a green you know that your ear is rotting lol and jk, but if it is extremely red and swollen you have an infection and may need to see doc or if you have a red line going down your neck see a doctor immediately. You could end up with blood poisoning. You should be fine though. Like I said. You may just need time to heal and you should watch how you sleep. That is a big factor in how your ears heal. They get bent and stretched when you are sleeping. Good luck. I know that hurts a lot.

You didn't say what gauge your ear currently is. I am not familiar with mm conversions, but many jewelry sites offer that as well.

If you have had your piercing for 7 years then going up one size should be possible without any effort.

I have diamond earrings with a screw post and they are thick so I just dip the post into some kind of lubricant and they go right in.
