My husband want to become a cop again (was a beach cop lol in NJ, went through training and all just didn't carry a gun)

Will he have to go to traing again?

If so is it paid training?

Does anyone know any departments hiring?

Willing to relocate from PA going down towards GA!

There are all kinds of departments in Georgia hiring officers. He would have to go through a mini academy if he is already certified. But you said he didn't carry a gun, so he may not be. Regardless, his prior experience in law enforcement makes him a good candidate for just about any department here.

If a department wants to hire him they will send him to academy and pay him while there. It usually lasts 10 weeks for non-certified and 3 weeks for other state certified.

The following counties and cities are recruiting and can be found through google.com:
Dawson County Sheriff, Forsyth County Sheriff, Hall County Sheriff, Fulton County Sheriff, Gwinette County Police and Sheriff, City of Milton, City of Sandy Springs, City of Atlanta, City of Gainesville, City of Athens-Clarke County.

Go to their web pages and look under "careers" or "jobs"

Good luck

The only way he might not have to go through training again is if he became employed in NJ and had been getting continued education hours.

Depending on how long ago he was a "beach cop" there have been changes in equipment, techniques, etc., so training is never bad.
