I'm a freshman at college. I moved in with this girl I was friends with. She couldn't live on campus because she kept getting sick from the food. She moved out. i helped her move. Then I helped this Jehova wittness girl move in. She was crazy!! I wasn't allowed to curse, lisiten to rap music, have people over etc. I moved out. Moved into a sports dorm (girl's roommate was coming back 2nd semester) Girl's roommmate came back a week later I had to move to yet another dorm. I have my own room now ONLY for this semester! Now I have food poision from the food. I don't eat much because the food is HORRIBLE!!
Was supposed to room with a friend but she wants to stay were she is next semester. 3 of my GOOD friend's are transfering next semester.
Grades in high school were not so good. GPA 2.9 sat's HORRIBLE about a 900 out of 1600! Can't really go anywhere else aside from community college for a semester.
What would you do??!!!
Stay 1 more semester or transfer for 1 semester??

Stay for 1 more semester...if you still can't put up with it you have a year of good grades (hopefully) under your belt to transfer with to another school that is not the local JuCo.

Wow, it sounds like you're really having a hard time- Sorry! Well, if you're really having that bad of a college experience, then I would consider switching schools. Otherwise, you can find someone else to move in with (off-campus). Not all of the choices will be easy, but if you aren't eating--- thats not good! Grades wise, moving into an apartment or something with a friend might be easier that way you are able to eat and concentrate better maybe less crowded. Good Luck!

It may seem like you've drawn the shortest straw on campus, trust me though, the chances of the same thing happening at whatever other school you go to are just the same. The best thing that happened to me in my freshman year of college was having a crappy roommate. Sure it's nice to have a space where you can veg out and feel comfortable but ultimately that was what forced me to go out and find other places where I could feel comfortable. Being able to find things you like to do and carving out a personal niche in an environment that may not be 100% your perfect fit is exactly what helps you to grow and move beyond your comfort zone. Stick it out (at the risk of exposing my nerdiness) join a club, participate in as many activities as possible, even if it's just once. Chances are if you put yourself out there enough you'll find others in similar situations or at least who can make your situation more tolerable. If you put up with all this garbage you've had to go through you'll feel incredible having stuck it out and trust me sophomore year is a lot easier.

My personal opinion, stay for one more semester because if you think about it, it is not that far away. Just endure it. No matter where you go there is always going to be a person there that is different from you. Another suggestion would be to have a sense of humor. If you do not laugh at the situation you will be discouraged and possible drive your self mad.

you need a stable living situation.
you don't say who's paying, maybe it is your parents.
You don't have to eat that food.
Stay where you are and find different food to eat (go to the grocery store or something).
I'm guessing there might be just one thing at the cafeteria that doesn't make you sick so just eat that.
you can always make peanut butter sandwiches for yourself and you can live without eating the bad food.
that is my suggestion.
you need stability.

Stay one more semester and tough it out. Keep moving forward. You should be proud of yourself for even being there in the first place. You will be rewarded.

if you can afford to stay then stay, work harder on your school than your social life, and all the food cant be bad, I would start looking at your alternatives, all else fails, call the health department about the food,
