1/2 cup sugar
1 lemon, zested and juiced
16 ounces mascarpone cheese
1 store-bought pound cake, cut into 1/2-inch thick slices
1/2 cup creme de cassis liqueur
2 cups quartered strawberries (or whole blueberries or whole raspberries)
Fresh mint leaves, chopped, for garnish

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar with the lemon juice. Cook until the sugar has dissolved, about 5 minutes. Let cool.
In a medium bowl, combine the cooled sugar mixture with the mascarpone cheese and the lemon zest. Using an electric mixer, whip on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.

To build the trifle, line the bottom of a trifle bowl with a layer pound cake. Brush the pound cake with some creme de cassis liqueur. Spoon a layer of the cheese mixture over the pound cake, and then a layer of berries. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a top layer of berries. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Garnish with chopped mint leaves.

You make pork chops? My mother in law flours the pork chops, fries them and then bakes them in the oven on 300 for about 20 min or so. It is sooo good that way. Another thing you could make is a hearty meat loaf, made of ground turkey and spicey sausage. There are all kinds of recipes on Google for that.

ahh the things you must have to put up with just to keep someone around..

remember this is coming from a guy that's happily married but I would definitely say .... here's what's for dinner.. eat it or go make yourself something.. he must be a very large man if that's all he eats.

I'm sure you have known this about him for a long time so it shouldn't be a surprise..

Tell your boo that he can eat poo, because you are through!! I wouldn't either bother with someone that picky. Let him cook what he eats and move on to someone that don't have so many eating issues.

What about BBQ pork chops with mac and cheese. But let me guess he doesn't eat pork.
Make your own darn dinner, and if he don't like he knows where the kitchen is.

as Marie Antoinette said feed them cake. Fix what ever you want, set it on the table and if he gets hungry enough he will find something to eat, I did that to my ex and he started eating whatever I fixed. All he ever wanted was meat and potatoes and by the time we were divorced he was eating any and everything and liked it too.

I wouldn't cook for him. Cook healthy vegetarian meals for yourself without tomatoes, and if he won't eat it, let him forage. Why enable his bad health habits? When he gets diabetes, and he probably will, is he going to make that your responsibility as well?

Tell him to cook for himself or deal with what you cook. Why baby him? Pork chops, fish, fruits is all that is left. why should you punish yourself from eating the others or have to cook 2 seperate meals.

I think it is time to go on strike..cook what you like, if he doesn't like it too bad, he can make himself a sandwich...
if you keep spoiling him and catering to him, you will miss out on a good diet and he will be a control freak forever...what is next...
why should you miss out because of him....let him cook for himself......you are allowing him to continue this behaviour.since you are good enough to cook, he should eat what you make.....
