Turkey is alot safer than USA honestly. However, you do get an occasional bomb set off like in Ankara back in July.
The bombings from PKK are just the way the oppressed Kurds are fighting back to try and get their rights from the Turkish government.
Go on your trip...whatever is supposed to happen will happen--just try and be safe and aware of your surroundings.

Istanbul is the safest city on the planet with over 10 million inhabitants. If you want to worry about being killed then visit any large city in the US. If you want to be more sure about getting killed visit Puerto Rico having the highest murder rate on earth second to Columbia.

I agree... this question is a little stupid... but, just in case it is serious... there have been bombings here unfortunately. These are usually targeted at political opponents of the group that does the bombing, however... not tourists. So, you don't have to worry. Just stay in touristic places like Istanbul, Izmir or Antalya and there won't be anything to worry about. This is a safe country overall.

Travel advisories in your country might be saying this, but how safe is a tourist in your country? Nowadays such events happen world wide. Turkey has a strong police and army to protect those in her lands including the tourists. It is just so sad such things happen in any European country nowadays. You'll be safe, as safe you are in your own country. I mean how safe is anyone nowadays anyways...

Just one and one casualty.
Don't worry, the risk of you being killed in a bombing in here is a lot less then you dying because of flu in your country.

Don't you know the number? I think you do lol. Most of the time the bombs and/or instructions come from where you are.
Now go and report me for I am going to report you for trying to downgrade a country and show it as a dangerous place.
Thank God tourists don't believe in people like you.
