If you wish Smith & Wesson to do a formal history write up on your particular handgun, you can write to Smith & Wesson and their staff Historians will send you a written outline on production information on your Model 60. There is a $30 fee for this service and it takes 8-12 weeks turnaround time to get the written report back from Smith & Wesson...

The "ABH" prefix puts it right at about the beginning of 1982.
