Mice will grind their teeth or "brux" when they are happy or contented. This is a happy sound

I'm not so sure about mice, but when gerbils are happy or excited they chatter or make a grinding sound with their teeth. This is probably the same thing!

It's a threating/aggressive signal... she's probably nervous. Sometimes they will slap their tails, as well. Offer her a little treat every time you put your hand in the cage, and she will probably stop chattering at you.

I don't know about mice, but rats chatter or brux their teeth when they are happy and content. so I"m thinking it is the same with mice! (Mine are bruxing all the time, it's so sweet!)

I can tell you what it means when hamsters chatter their teeth, and I wwould pressume because they are both rodents it means the same. When hamsters chatter their teeth it means they are angry, aggetated and annoyed!
