Ok I won't pretend to be an expert on Christianity, but it seems like Judas and Satan for that matter are both men of God. I'm quite certain there is a biblical verse where Jesus all but says"Judas, you will betray me." So wasn't Judas basically doing as he was told? And as for Satan, if he were seriously trying to pull people away from God, he would give barbecues and parties and all sorts of stuff down in hell. The fact that he "tortures" you in hel;l for all eternity just seems to me that he is acting on God's orders. That he is God's man through and through. I mean is Judas really as evil as people make him out to be? I mean the way i read, he was instructed to betray Jesus, from jesus himself. And if you believe in the whole trinity thing, then he would be following a direct order from God Obviously this would bring up many more questions and many more doubts for me as to the validity of the bible. Please somebody clarify these things for me? I'd really appreciate it.

Think of it all as a dramatic play - because that's what it is. Satan and Judas are necessary to the plot. Had Satan/Lucifer/etc not "rebelled" against God, and incited man to rebel, then we'd have to blame God for evil in the world, and that would never do. Again, had Judas not "betrayed" Jesus, he could never have been crucified so as to redeem us from the evil aforementioned.
The Gnostic "Gospel of Judas" has gotten a lot of press lately, and it seems to stress this point, that Judas was really acting under Jesus' orders, for purposes of advancing the Dramatic Plot. Even in the canonical gospels, Jesus certainly knows what will happen, and the famous dipped sop that he passes to Judas reads almost like a prearranged signal.
All the problems with the Biblical narratives are easily solved if one remembers that they are NOT historical, but dramatic and ritualistic in character.

You raise questions that many people ask. Concerning Judas, he was evil and completely overtaken by Satan. Read John 6:70 and John 13:2. Jesus did know before chosing Judas that he would betray him and yet gave him the opportunity to save himself. Judas was consumed by greed, which was the work of Satan. Judas was not possessed by a demon as others in the Bible, but by Satan himself.
Jesus did not cause Judas to betray him nor did Jesus pick him from among the 12 for the unlucky task, he was chosen by Satan because he lack belief in Jesus, even after spending 3 years with him and listening to his preaching and observing many miracles. Satan was attacking all of the apostles (Luke 22:31-33) and Judas lacked the faith to reject Satan.
As for you remarks on hell, Satan is the great deciever. He will deceive people into believing lies on earth and will encourage the eat, drink and be merry attitude. He is not concerned with eternity in hell for non christians, by that time, it is too late. He will deceive you on earth to draw you away from God, to worship worldly things and not Godly things.
This is a very short answer to some very complex questions. You are being drawn to these by the Holy Spirit and you should continue to seek the truth. I would strongly recommend church or bible studies to further your quest for answers. The decision you make on earth will shape your eternity. As you study, you will see the validity of the bible and how it has been proven truthful over the many centuries

Judas, according to the omitted Gnostic Book of Judas, was actually instructed by Jesus to betray him inorder to fulfill the Messianic Prophecy. I could see how an intentional fulfillment may not be something the Church would like as common knowledge. But, with all scripture, there's no way to know what is original, or what is true, or what is lies. Which is why I discard it all.
Satan/Lucifer if they exist, could only be doing the work of the Almighty. A demigod although unimaginably more powerful than men, would have no choice but to submit to the omnipotent while in his presence. Anything else would be lunacy as you'd be facing an unbeatable adversary. The reason religion has so many people breaking it down and picking it apart is because more than 3% of the population is literate nowadays and each can examine these claims for theirselves.

Judas was evil in a way that all men have this same deficit. He could not give in completely to God. He was in-charge of keeping track of the offerings given by the followers and complained to Jesus that Jesus wasted the offerings. Then he let money buy him out and he betrayed Jesus. It was his choice to allow the thoughts of greed to overcome him. He could have just as easily listened and had faith in what Jesus was saying, but he thought the Messiah was going to come and rule the world as a king. (Which is going to happen.) Jesus came as one who would show us the Messiah wants to rule our hearts and minds as well as our politics and Judas couldn't accept this. His doubt is what made him of an evil heart.
Satan on the other hand has no control over Hell. Hell is made for him and his fallen angels. They will be tormented day and night just like all others that fall into this place of judgment. No parties for Satan there just pain and suffering.

You've got it right. They've actually just found the text of the Book of Judas, and it backs up what many modern Biblical theorists have surmised - Judas was, indeed, given specific instructions to betray Christ. He was operating on orders. And, unlike the Gospel version, he doesn't go hang himself in remorse. Why would he be remorseful for doing exactly what he was supposed to?
As for Satan, you're right there, too. Satan's job is to protect the rest of us from those who would harm us. If a soul becomes so twisted that it can't be redeemed - demons - devils - somebody has to keep them all under control. And you don't send someone you hate (or who hates you) or distrust to do a job like that.

Judas agreed to betray Jesus to the pharisees before Jesus confirmed that Judas was going to be his betrayer. Satan is a fallen angel who got kicked out of heaven for his pride and rebellion against God. Revelation teaches that satan will also be tormented in hell day and night forever.

Judas was a mere man who gave into greed and sinned, he may not have always been evil. God knew he would betray the son of God, but God didn't make him do it. Satan was a created angel who was already in heaven and had a high office, he knew better. When he decided he wanted to rise up and be like God and influenced a third of the angels to follow him, his future was doomed.
