Elijah and Elias are one in the same. Some believe Eliajh/Elias & Moses are the 2 witnesses spoken of in Revelation,( I believe this)

Elias and Elijah are the same person. Elias was sort of a short version of Elijah.
In homiletics there is a study of typology. Where people in the Bible are types of other people in the Bible. Both Elijah and Moses were "types of Christ" Elijah was forceful, and loved by God so much that he did not die and was taken up into heaven in a cloud.
Moses was a type of Christ in that he was the one who lead the children of Israel out of the wilderness. Today, Christ leads all of God's children out of the wilderness of sin, into freedom, and eventually to heaven.
