ive gained soooo much weight recently and i need to get it off!!! seriously i need help please!!!

no i know i dont weigh that much but im really not anorexic or anything...im like size 8 which i know is still skinny but i usually weigh less ok!!!

You don't need to lose weight. At your height you should weigh more! I'm 5'2 & weigh the same as you. People tell me I'm too skinny.

When I first read this question, it made me think of when I was 17. I was 5'9 as well and nothing but skin and bones, and I was 115 lbs! You do NOT need to lose weight, believe me. You're probably gaining some weight (which is a good thing at your size) because your body is maturing.

Check out this web site (a government sponsered site). At the bottom is a place where you can enter your height and weight to determine your BMI (Body Mass Index). A person who is 5'9 and 112 lbs has a BMI of 16.5. Anyone with a BMI of 18.5 of less is considered UNDERweight!!!

Your body is going to change a lot over the next several years. Just stay active, and use the BMI chart as a way to have a realistic and healthy idea of where your ideal weight should be.

However, if you want to lose no more than ten pounds, a simple and effective way is to switch from drinking coffee to drinking green tea. Green tea extract seems to be an ingredient in almost all appetite suppressant products so that is probably its major reason for working although it is reputed to change your metabolism as well. It doesn't work for more than 10 pounds, however, and won't keep it off if you go back to coffee.

Exercise is probably the best way to lose weight, not because it burns calories but because it acts to suppress appetite and changes metabolism. A daily walk of 30 minutes should be a minimum for you.

Maybe it's muscle? You def shouldnt lose weight though, I don't think you weigh enough as it is!
I'm 6 inch shorter then you and weigh a few more and I'm a size 2 so I can't imagine what you are!

Geez, according to your Biomass Index, you're 16.5! You're underweight!

* Underweight = <18.5
* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
* Overweight = 25-29.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

My dear, don't lose anymore weight because you'll put your body at danger. Don't be swayed by the paper thin women on magazines or on TV. There is no standard for beauty.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

YOU MUST DRINK 5 X 8OZ GLASSES OF WATER EACH DAY.
THE DIET MUST BE FOLLOWED EXACTLY TO LOSE 10LBS IN 3 DAYS.

Are you sure you need to lose weight? According to your BMI you are underweight for your height already. Not having met you I cant really judge, but from this information I would say you need to maintain this weight, and aim to gain a little more?

Are you just looking for attention? I'm 5'1 and weigh 117 and wear a size 6. I'm not overweight. If this is a serious question, you may have anorexia and should seek counseling.

You're actually underweight for your height. If you're gaining weight, maybe it's just your body's natural way of telling you that you're not going to be pencil thin for the rest of your life. You really should be a little bit heavier.
