What events, past or present, can you name where one group is attempting to, did attempt to, or did succeed in mass murders of another group because of religious differences?
Who tried to or did kill off who, when did it happen, and why exactly?
For example, I am sure everyone can come up with the Holocaust where the Nazis killed Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, and the Roma, along with many others, in World War II, because of the Nazis' belief that these groups were not pure like them and worth life.
I hope this list can open people's eyes to how wrong intolerance is.

Let's start at the beginning.
Babylon - versus the Minoans - Minoans won
Rome vs Greece - tried to breed them out
Jews and Muslims did not try to commit genocide they tried to fight in the name of their deities and forced conversion
Rome vs Roman Christians - to stamp out a belief not observed by Cesars
Catholic church - any non believers (justified by faith came about of greed for land and money and also social ranking)
England vs the Scots - instead of having them concede to the throne of England and their beliefs they decided to uphold an old "church" observed law that allowed the lord and his higher ranking officials to have sex with a new bride of another race or belief before the husband on their wedding day. Hence, a possible child born of English blood rather than Scots. Lasted for about 50 yrs.
Spanish conquistadors vs Native Central American Tribes - to obtain "treasure" for their Queen and King and to convert to the "Christian" religion.
Italy/ Spain/England/France/Dutch vs North American Tribes - considered heathens by the "Church" were killed and slaughtered for over 400 yrs due to "Christians" moving to the new world (about 7 different branches of the "faith") and colonizing.
And you know the mass genocide from the 19th and 20th and the 21st century.
I and others of my faith are still being bashed by the Christian religions. So my question is, who is the more extreme religion? Christians or Muslims?

Well I think of the Hutu's and the Tutsi's. Though I know at least part was ethnic, I think some religious intolerance was involved. Meanwhile, one interesting thing is that members from both tribes became Christians, Jehovah's Witnesses. When they learned it was wrong to murder others, these members stopped.

Iranian authorities have tried to wipe out and are still trying to wipe out the Baha'i community, the largest religious minority in the country, since its inception in 1844. Public records abound stating their intentions. Authorities preposterously claim Baha'is to be Muslim heretics. It is an independent world religion. Within a few short years of its inception approximately 1/3 of Persia became followers. Alarmed at the sudden popularity, and fearful of their loss of power, clerical authorities instigated a bloodbath which resulted in tens of thousands of deaths. Today, Baha'is in Iran have no civil rights and are periodically executed when the international spotlight dims on the situation.

You are absolutely correct. In fact Christ foresaw this (as He sees everything) and warned us throught the scriptures. He gave us a guideline to know which churches are true and which aren't. Check out Matthew 7:16-20...
Mass murder in the name of religion is not religion - it is false religion. There is a BIG difference.

Everyone and anyone who said they were doing somthing in God's name were saying that to make themselves feel better. The were not true Christians. And if Christianity is a widely accepted myth then why not let us all die happily with dreams of going to a place with gold roads? No one asked you to get on yahoo answers and ask questions that are religiously racist. Please just let us myth believers live in our happy little dream world.
