Instead of doing a lot of typing. Go to a music, or guitar store, spend around 12 dollars, and pick up a good chord dictionary.

Check out a Mel Bay book on basic guitar chords.
Generally a chord consists of the 1, 3 & 5 note of a 7-note scale (do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do - which is 8 but the first & last "do" are octaves of one another) Think of those as numbers. When you make the 3 flat by one note, you have a minor chord. Example:
E major is - (low to high):
1, 5, 1, 3, 5, 1
Em (minor) is - (low to high):
EBEGBE or 1, 5, 1, 3flat, 5, 1
Hope this helps some. You're smart for asking, GOOD LUCK!

Start with your basic F major chord in the first fret (133211) and then progress up the fretboard identifying the new chord name. It's commonly called the Chromatic Scale and it runs as follows:
1st fret: F
2nd: F# or Gb
3rd: G
4th: G# or Ab
5th: A
6th: A# or Bb
7th: B
8th: C
9th: C# or Db
10th: D
11th: D# or Eb
12th: E
13th: F
Using the same progression system you can start with Fm using the formation of 133111.

I just gave you two good sites and then I checked them...and guess what they are no longer on there...so sorry all I can say is the following :
Go on google and type in this : barre chords chart....and up comes tons of pages to choose from....good luck.to you....I hope that you've been playing for a while....you don't start out playing guitar using barre chord...you have to get your fingers and hands read, (the muscles)...next time your in a guitar store ask them about the Grip Master....it strengthens your fingers and hands....but be careful they have a waring on the label not to over do as you may cause hand damage !!!!!!!!
