Well Mr. Ranger ....you have taught me something.
I never knew Jethro was a priest.
But, sho-nuff!
Exodus 18:1 says
"Jeth′ro the priest of Mid′i·an, Moses’ father-in-law, got to hear about all that God had done for Moses and for Israel his people."
All I can find is the following:
"Being head of a large family of at least seven daughters and one named son and having the responsibility not only to provide for his family materially but also to lead them in worship, he is appropriately called “the priest [or chieftain] of Midian.”

I agree with "I want U2wantme2000". You would do well, kind sir, to help us out with some scripts and also...perhaps occasionally an answer to some of these handy dandy questions which are good by the way...gets peep think thots and stuff..but the problem with these questions is that if certain peeps weren't too undiscaplined to study scripture to begin with they would already know the scripts and answers. Uh...okay? Cuz like Jethro was all cool and all but I don't have time to look up what his deal as priest was cuz I don't remember ever looking at that. Love in Christ, ~J~

In their limited understanding of God, the priest was to lead people into worship and service to God. This was prior to God's revelation to Moses in the burning bush, or the giving of the 10 Commandments, so he did the best he could with the information he had, in leading people to an honest life before God and men.

He wasn't a Levitical Priest; he was a Priest of Midian; of the Country of Moab, the territory of Midian, so Moses married an "outsider", by marrying Zipporah.

What amiram said. If you watch the movie Prince of Egypt, it shows that Moses married into a group of "gypsies"
