Anybody watch last night? When he wanted to talk to the accident victim, I thought yes. But by his comments at the end, I thought no. What was your take?

And do you think he should have left the paralyzed guy alone about his beliefs, if they gave him comfort as he was dying?

House is a TV show about a curmudgeounly, yet oddly likeable, doctor who specializes in diagnosing hard cases.

Another idiot episode.
He should have gotten fired and then sued for talking to a dying patient like that.
Also on a standard electrical outlet ,you can stick a metal object in 2 of the 3 holes and absolutely nothing will happen.
Furthermore I'm almost positive that there is both an OSHA & an NEC requirement that all 110v recepticles in hospitals be GFCI protected .
So assuming that House did find the right hole the outlet would shut down the power long before he even felt a litle trickle

I don't think House saw anything. That line at the end, "I told you so." Pretty much sealed the deal.

I'm guessing he wanted to talk to the accident victim so that he could dissuade him from other attempts to "see the light" again.

Also, when House told Wilson, "I love you," I think having his concept of the void after death confirmed in his own mind made him more grateful for life and the people around him, if just for one fleeting, out of character moment.

I'm divided on what House should have said to the paralyzed guy. I'm more sympathetic than House about where people might seek solace and also it's not like what this guy had in front of him for life was much better than a void anyway. But I also agree with House that in most cases people shouldn't make life or death decisions based on fictional information.

that was a good show. I dont think he should have said what he did to the poor man who was dying. I believe he experienced something but not ready to talk about it yet.

no, he didn't based on his comments at the end. i think he wanted to see the guy to either tell him that there's nothing, or because he decided to lie to him about it to give him some peace.

i'm glad he didn't see the light, because if they turn that show into a religious thing, i won't watch it

No he did not. When the patient died he stood over him and said "sorry, but I told you so."
