Do I have to post the exact quote? If you don't like what the Bible says, maybe you should ignore it or abandon it or deny it's the inspired word of God

You of course realize that there is both an oral tradition to the scripture, and even a simple reading will tell you it's not just "yelling" we ar speaking of. He's called "A Son of wickedness and rebelliousness."

BTW, you said you were an atheist then used the word, "Evil." What is the origin of this "evil," who decides when something is "evil" or "good," how does he have the right to impose this view on others, what is the origin of that or any other "right"?

Social contract? These people obviously had a differnet social contract.

Hey, they will justify that and besides if they do not even do simple things that Jesus commanded like being baptized do you really think they would take that commandment to heart? Jesus said in Mark 16:16 that he that believes AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved but he that believes not shall be damned. In acts chapter 2 the people asked Peter What must we do to be saved and Peter responded in Acts 2:38 Repent and be Baptized for the remission of sins , but today the average Christian will say all you have to do is believe, say the sinners prayer, which is not even hinted at in the bible and accept Jesus as your personal Savior, which also is not in the bible and have a personal relationship with Jesus. All this is contrary to Jesus teachings and Bible teachings.

They do not really believe the bible or else they would keep all of it.

children Obey you fathers that it might go well for you, and you will be blessed with peace and a long life.


Have you considered how many children are rebellious and do not listen to there so called parents, how many of these young ones, now die in auto wrecks needlessly, how the teen suicide rate has sky rocketed?

In Leviticus, children who don't follow their parent's dictates should be killed. Jesus, going to the temple against his parent's will, was breaking this dictate. This is why he pointed out that it was his father in heaven who he should listen to. Ignore your parents, and listen to your father in heaven, was the message of that with the Old law and the New Testament taken in context. Leviticus is the dirty bath water that should be thrown out.
