I read the label on the isopropyl alcohol and it says
1.antiseptic, which means kill bacteria

I know bacteria mixed with oil causes pimples and I have acne. So I have a few questions.

Should I rub this (I have very young skin; I'm not even sixteen!)?

If I should...

a.When and how often should I rub it?
b.What should I use with it?
c.What are the side effects?
d. The bottle also says USP 70%; what does that mean?

You CAN use it, but be very careful because alcohols will dehydrate you. If no other acne medication or cleanser is working for you, then I'd probably use it just on the pimples and all themselves and not all over. The end of the day would probably be the best time to use it, too, when you're washing your face before bed. Keep in mind, though, that sometimes acne is caused by over drying. If you do use it, I'd use it just like you would on another wound; put a little on a cotton ball and dab it on.

As for the 70%, that's the alcohol content. The mixture is 70% alcohol, 30% water.

Good luck!

It will dry your skin out (a lot; removes the natural oils you need and kills some of the skin cells) so I would not recommend using it on your face. There are better over the counter preparations for treating acne that you should use instead.

I use isopropanol as a degreaser and cleaner (clean my computer parts and circuit boards, audio tape and vcr player heads and rollers) and as a disinfectant (rinse my pocket knife or tweasers before using to remove a splinter, for example)

USP 70 % means that it is 70 % pure isopropanol (30 % water), which is pretty strong for a nonchemical grade reagent (solution). You should be aware that propanol is poisonous and should never be ingested.
