I signed up for the Air Force about 2 weeks ago, and in the 2 week time span, I've talked to my recruiter twice (and those 2 times I called him just to see how everything is going). Not to sound like a like an obsess girlfriend or nothin, but why wont he call me? Could something possibly be wrong wit my signing up process? Whats goin on? I mean I dont even have his cell phone number (unlike other folks I know who have signed up for the Armed Forces) and the 2 times I called him, I called his office. Should I be worried?

With military recruiters, remember the old phrase, "No News is Good News", if there was a problem you would be made aware of it immediately. If youre signed up, you're already in, just under Delayed Entry. He already GOT his quota points for signing you up, so he isn't too concerned with you at this point.

And to Bob above me, I was stationed at Goodfellow AFB for 4 months (while in the Army) and the Zoomies were the only ones on Base who has civillian MAIDS to clean up their barracks rooms. "Coddling" its zoomies is what the Air Force does best.

Don't worry until its time for you to report to Basic Training. If you still havent heard form your recruiter by then (he is typically obligated to ensure you report for duty at the appropriate time).

Im no expert, I am just in the process of trying to join the army, and, if your already in, just relax while you can!! ANd if your not techinacally signed up yet, then he may already have made quota for this month, and might be dragging it out until next, Ive learned that recruiters can sometimes, uhhhmmm, not be so beneficial after all, not all, and they do workd hard, but every bushel has its bad apples just like in anything else

One, he doesn't have time to hold your hand and call you daily. two, It's been two weeks. If there is a problem, he will let you know. Calling once a week to get updates on status is fine. any more than that, and you run the risk of irking him to the point where if a problem does arise, he won't be willing to work with you. You are NOT his only prospective recruit.

this is funny. i'll bet that he has no problem with you, nor is he just being mean, but like it was said above he basically already has you, so there is no need for him to pretend to be sweet anymore. now he is concentrating on the next batch of folks to be put in the service. i must say though my good ol Navy SeaBee recruiter was different, hell we hung out and met women together before i was shipped off.

If there was a problem. they would let you know. just relax. Stop being a drama queen and grow up a little. Look you choose the right service, the other recruiters esp the Army and Marines need to coddle their people. The AF doesn't coddle their people in that way. You get coddled in others

dude, youve been recruited, he's moving on to new prospects. do you need him to hold your hand for you to go through with shipping out? if so, you shouldnt go. just report to MEPS at your assigned time.
