I don't know about the US but here in the UK having both a face piercing and a tattoo never stop me from getting good jobs. My last one was on the enterprise business side of a well know IT company.
A friend of my was working for the council about 4 years ago, her boss had an eyebrow piercing already back then and no one seemed to be bothered neither... In my experience, both agencies and managers tend to be more interested on CVs and interview outfits than body decor :)

I'm from North Yorkshire, went to university in London, and now live in Chicago, Illinois.
America is DEFINITELY less accepting of body modifications such as piercings and tattoos. Most employers who employ people that come into contact require tattoos to be covered at all times (difficult, when like me, you have a full sleeve and most of your other arm covered, your chest and legs tattooed, et cetera!) British employers seem to prefer a professional appearance, but your qualifications matter much more.
I feel like the British public are overall more accepting of people's differences, where Americans tend to be very superficial and judgmental. American society, especially American women tend to be very repressed. That's why you see all the people in this section posting things like: One little tattoo on a girl is cute, any more and it's gross... etc. etc.

Its the same world and the same views, you wont get hired if you came to your interview with tattoos showing for a straight job.
but you could probably get a bouncer job, a record shop job, or something along those lines.
basically, no its about the same.
