The concept of American is indeed a kind of Utopia. People have been coming here for several centuries now to build a better life for themselves and their children, to escape poverty, social injustice, war, religious persecution etc. People have always seen America as a place where it was possible to succeed on personal merit and excel, unlike Europe in the past with its aristocratic social structure.
Having said that, most immigrants and citizens find life in the US altogether real. Life here like any other country inhabited by humans is imperfect, at best. I think the thing here though is that we continue to tinker with things trying to make it better. People demand and expect justice, even though they often don't get it completely, or sometimes at all. In many places, people may demand justice, but they don't really expect it.
If you do make it here, having seen one of your previous questions, you're welcome to walk about in your dream state for a week or two, but if you want to succeed, you'll need to wake up at some point.

When we started out as a country, we tried to make it like that. The dream we had was to invert the principles of previous countries, rule by people not by king, or clergy.
That sounded like a utopia to everyone at the time. But, Utopia's are at best a personal dream. The Reality will never match up to the dream. The Dream though, Lifts our version of Reality even higher. To what we can achieve as a reality.
The Utopia Dream is something to be persued, for who knows what lay further down the relaity road.

America has been seen by most countries as an opportunity for an individual to escape poverty, have freedom, get wealth, and be treated with dignity. It has been seen as a land of free land, and hope by many over many centuries.
The fact that it has internal problems is not seen by others and its share of the world's wealth is a beacon for others.

No, that's pretty much a myth and always has been. We do have many freedoms that don't exist in some countries but we have our share of problems and no one is just going to hand you everything you want on a silver platter upon your arrival.

You have to work for your dreams and not come here for freebies paid for by taxpayers or go back to mexico. If the illegal immigration continues then it may just be a bad dream. illegal mexicans trashed their own country and will do the same to america if they become a majority. It will eventually come down to a struggle and fight for our homeland.
